Meet The radiance clinical research TEAM

The Radiance Clinical Research team is committed to furthering the advancement of medical research, preventive care, and cutting-edge treatments by providing first-class care to our volunteers and participants in clinical trials. Our dedication to excellence permits Radiance to excel in our field and offer a bright and promising future, filled with hope, to those affected by the medical conditions we study.  

Mia Monroe, Chief Financial Officer

Mia joined FMCSCIENCE in 2014 as Finance Director.  At the time, she also served as Finance Director for Family Medicine Rural Health Clinic and oversaw the billing department.  In the early stages of the newly formed FMCSCIENCE, she worked to develop the accounting and billing processes, as well as employee benefits and payroll.  She has many years of experience in accounting, office management, and QuickBooks consulting.

In 2016, Mia’s responsibilities were expanded to include contract and budget negotiation.

In December of 2023, Mia, Dr. Gold, and Lauren Garner formed Radiance Clinical Research and purchased FMCSCIENCE.  Mia currently serves as the newly established company’s Chief Financial Officer and Contracts Coordinator.

Lauren Atkinson Garner, Director of Research

Lauren Garner joined FMC Science in 2014, just after our research entity’s inception, and developed FMC Science’s standard operating procedures. Ms. Garner holds her Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) certification.  

Lauren brings a wealth of clinical research experience to Radiance Clinical Research. She has seven years of experience as a CRC with one of the nation’s largest cancer research centers, with diverse experience in phases 1-4 of solid tumor oncology studies. She has expanded her experience to include many other indications including, but not limited to, migraine, diabetes, asthma and COPD, hypertriglyceridemia, gastrointestinal disease processes, various women’s studies, and vaccines. 

Lauren is a proud Aggie – a graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station – where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biomedical Science in 2007. She loves to head back to BCS for Fightin’ Texas Aggie football and Wings ‘N More any time she can! 

Lauren enjoys spending time with her husband, Brent, daughter, Allyson, son, Brady, and their extended family. She’s also a cat mom to Mona, Lisa, and Snowflake. 

In December of 2023, Lauren, Mia, and Dr. Gold formed Radiance Clinical Research and purchased FMCSCIENCE.  Lauren currently serves as Director of Research for the newly established company.

Amanda Rainwater, RN

Amanda Rainwater grew up in Lampasas and graduated from high school in 2009. She then went on to Austin Community College and graduated in 2017 as a Registered Nurse, and then earned her Bachelor of Science in 2018 at Texas Tech University.  

Amanda worked as a postpartum nurse in Austin for three years, and in February 2020, she started work with us as a Clinical Research Coordinator at Radiance Clinical Research. As a nurse, she loves caring for others and has enjoyed the research aspect of healthcare and finding new alternatives/medications to change patients’ lives.

In Amanda’s spare time, she enjoys going to church, working out, playing golf, spending time with family, and being in the sun.

Amy Campos, Research Assistant

Amy Joined Radiance Clinical Research in May of 2023 as a Research Assistant. She previously worked for two years as a lab Technician. Amy was born and raised in Southern California and lived in Oklahoma City for six years before her husband was in the US Army. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, but most importantly, she loves being a mom to her daughters.  

Amy’s clinical knowledge, friendly personality, and compassionate care make her a valuable asset to the team at Radiance Clinical Research.

Janna Martin, HR

From the very beginning of FMCSCIENCE, Janna has been an integral part of the administration team as HR Administrator and Bookkeeper. She also served as Bookkeeper/HR and Credentialing Administrator for Family Medicine Rural Health Clinic.

Janna was raised in Lampasas and returned in 2000.  She enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends.

Janna puts her 38 years of experience to good use as she works hard in her roles at Radiance Clinical Research.

NeNe Robles, Clinical Research Coordinator

San Juanita “NeNe” Robles joined Radiance in 2022 and now serves as our Clinical Research Coordinator for our Liberty Hill and Georgetown offices. 

NeNe has worked in healthcare and has over 19 years of experience in family practice, urgent care, and clinical/laboratory management. During that time, she earned her certificate as a Registered Medical Assistant. She’s a native of Burnet, TX, but spent 18 years living in Austin before returning to her roots in the Texas Hill Country. She enjoys spending time with her family, listening to live music, going on road trips, and doing anything outdoors. She says, “Joining Radiance – learning about clinical research and its importance for the future of healthcare- has been a pleasure!”

Savannah Skaggs, Research Assistant

Savannah joined FMC Science in September 2022 as the front desk receptionist and now serves as a research assistant and is our in-clinic data coordinator. Savannah received her Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification in January of 2023. 

Savannah grew up in Lampasas for most of her life. She completed a two-year program at His Hill Bible School in Comfort, TX, and had the opportunity to visit Israel in 2019. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being “Nay Nay” to all her nieces and nephews, and spending time outdoors. 

Patricia Hannah, Limited Medical Radiology Technician

Patricia Hannah is a native Texan who has worked in healthcare for eight years as a Certified Medical Assistant. Previously working at Family Medicine Clinic before expanding her endeavors to become a Limited Medical Radiology Technician, she hopes to bring great contributions to the Radiance Clinical Research family. 

Patricia is a full-time mother and student working towards her degree in Radiology. She enjoys writing calligraphy, playing volleyball, and finding new cooking recipes for her family on social media. 

Paige Skelton, Regulatory Affairs Manager

Paige joined Radiance Clinical Research in 2018 and is our Regulatory Affairs Manager. She became a member of RAPS (Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society) in 2022 to expand her knowledge in Regulatory Affairs. 

Paige manages departmental regulatory aspects for clinical trials and research activities. She is detail-oriented and highly organized, making her a perfect fit for her position. 

Her hobbies include traveling, decorating, and working out. Her favorite holiday is Halloween. She is married to Joe Skelton and has two fur babies, Cujo and Dexter.

Katelyn Fitzgerald

Katelyn grew up in Killeen, Texas, and graduated from Ellison High School in 2020. After graduation, she attended Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas. She graduated from Tarleton State University in May 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science.  

Katelyn joined Radiance in 2024 as a research assistant and data coordinator and was quickly promoted to Clinical Research Coordinator.  She says, “I am extremely excited to be joining the team here at Radiance Clinical Research and look forward to gaining experience in the clinical research field.”

Katelyn enjoys reading and spending time with her family. She bowls in a league once a week with her parents and they enjoy learning the game and trying to become better every time they bowl.

Melanie Bullock

Melanie Bullock has been in the medical industry for seven years. Melanie’s journey in this field started at the Family Medicine Clinic in Lampasas, Texas, where she worked in the front desk and billing departments.

Melanie has a daughter, a son, and four grandchildren that are the light of her life. Melanie loves spending time outdoors, but her favorite is being in the Wyoming mountains, which she and her family visit yearly. Melanie has been married for 23 years to her best friend.  

Melanie is excited about her new journey at Radiance Clinical and looks forward to working with a fabulous team.   

Aaron Schaller

Aaron was born in San Angelo, TX and grew up living in various locations around the world. He joined the U.S. Navy as a Hospital Corpsman serving over 20 years with multiple deployments and retired in 2015. He had various successful roles as a recruiter. He returned to Texas in 2018 in which he had worked as a sales
associate breaking multiple sales records and goals prior to his role as a recruiter with Radiance.
He is currently completing his bachelor’s degree in health services management from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Aaron enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and watching professional basketball and football.
